Weather permitting, the Woodrow Wilson Bridge Project will be continuing ramp and road closures in the Telegraph Road/Capital Beltway interchange this week. This work will cause significant local traffic impacts and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes. Variable message signs will be posted to alert drivers and provide detour information.

The scheduled work is as follows:

Monday, July 30 through Thursday, Aug. 2 DAILY from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; also Wednesday, Aug. 1 OVERNIGHT from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning:

• The on-ramp from Telegraph Road South to the Outer Loop (I-95/495 North) LOCAL will be closed for roadway construction. Detour: Motorists should continue to Telegraph Road South to the ramp to Huntington Avenue East to U.S. Route 1 North to the on-ramp to the Outer Loop.
• The on-ramp from Telegraph Road North to the Outer Loop LOCAL will be closed for roadway construction. Detour: Motorists should take the ramp to Eisenhower Avenue to right on Eisenhower Avenue East to the traffic circle to Holland Lane to Duke Street East to U.S. Route 1 South to the on-ramp to the Outer Loop.

Monday, July 30 OVERNIGHT from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning:

• The exit ramps from the Inner Loop (I-95/495 South) to Pershing Avenue and to Telegraph Road North/Duke Street will be closed for roadway construction. Detours: Motorists should continue on the Inner Loop to the Eisenhower Connector exit to Eisenhower Avenue East to left on Stovall Street to Pershing Avenue, or continue on Eisenhower Avenue to the traffic circle to Holland Lane to reach Duke Street.

Monday, July 30 through Wednesday, Aug. 1 NIGHTLY from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning:

• The on-ramp from Telegraph Road South to the Inner Loop will be closed for bridge construction. Detour: Motorists should take the ramp to Huntington Avenue East to U.S. Route 1 North to the on-ramp to the Inner Loop.

Monday, July 30 through Thursday, Aug. 2 NIGHTLY from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning:

• The on-ramp from Telegraph Road North to the Inner Loop will be closed for bridge construction. Detour: Motorists should continue to Duke Street West to the Van Dorn on-ramp to the Inner Loop.

Monday, July 30, Tuesday, July 31 and Friday, August 3 NIGHTLY from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning:

• The exit ramps from the Outer Loop to Telegraph North/Duke Street and Eisenhower Avenue will be closed for roadway construction. Detour: Motorists should continue to the U.S. Route 1 exit North to Duke Street; from there they can continue west to Holland Lane to the traffic circle to Eisenhower Avenue.

Tuesday, July 31, Wednesday, Aug. 2 and Friday, Aug. 3 NIGHTLY from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning:

• The exit ramp from the Inner Loop (I-95/495 South) to Telegraph Road South will be closed for roadway construction. Detour: Motorists should continue to the Eisenhower Connector exit to Eisenhower Avenue East to Mill Road East to Telegraph Road South.

As a reminder, the Outer Loop LOCAL is restricted to a single lane to allow for final paving of the Outer Loop. THRU lanes into Maryland are open. There is no Eisenhower Avenue Connector access to the Outer Loop until August 6; detours are posted. Weather permitting, the above work will be completed and the Outer Loop THRU and LOCAL lanes will be fully open and in their final configuration on Monday morning, August 6.
