Telegraph Road will be closed in both directions between Huntington Avenue and Duke Street this coming weekend Saturday November 17 – Sunday November 18, 2012.
Detour: Motorists heading north should take Huntington Avenue to U.S. Route 1 North to Duke Street. Detour signs will be posted for southbound motorists.

On Tuesday, September 4, there will be a Special Election to fill a vacancy in the House of Delegates, 45th District. The 45th District includes parts of Arlington, Fairfax, and 13 precincts in Alexandria. Polling places in the 45th District will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The legal deadline to register to vote in the September 4 Special Election is Tuesday, August 28 at 5 p.m (That’s TODAY people!). Voter Registration applications submitted by mail must be postmarked on or before August 28. The same deadlines are in effect for Virginia voters who are registered, but have moved within the City of Alexandria, or within Virginia. Voters who do not update their registration records before the August 28 deadline risk being ineligible to vote in the September 4 Special Election.
