On Monday, June 24, the final Community Dialogue on the plan for improving and expanding community engagement in Alexandria is set for First Baptist Church, 2932 King Street from 7-9 p.m. Community members will come together to review a draft Handbook for Civic Engagement and map an outreach network. Those unable to attend in person will be able to watch live and interact with other viewers online at the “virtual table.”
The line of storms approaching our area is capable of producing damaging winds and heavy rains. Residents in the storm’s path are advised to move indoors to a sturdy building and stay away from windows. Residents are urged to use caution while driving, as there may be standing or running water on some roadways. The community is also advised to clear storm drains, downspouts and gutters.
